James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He first appeared as Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The First Avenger.
During World War II, Bucky served alongside Steve Rogers (Captain America). Presumed dead after a fall from a train, Bucky was recovered and brainwashed by HYDRA. He was then transformed into a deadly assassin known as the Winter Soldier, equipped with a cybernetic left arm.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Bucky is living in Wakanda, having been given the moniker "White Wolf" by the Wakandans. He assists in the defense of Wakanda against Thanos's forces, wielding his vibranium arm in battle before ultimately succumbing to the Decimation.
